maybe an ovid series or a virgil series to mix things up and dip into the augustan era. my translation work has just been SO sidelined this year and that actually is still my priority, so... i'll pursue whatever comes up in the moment but i'm only making set goals around the translation matrix

i am trying to remind myself that it is okay to not want to formally/professionally publish anything creative :) and it is okay to write niche, mediocre, dead-end things from here on :) why are we so afraid of being average... i mean i am also afraid of being average, clearly, but why is this so

i also worry that i was really good at something (writing a specific thing iykyk) and i essentially threw it away, and now anything i do is not going to measure up in terms of "impact." which is also stupid because chasing the "impact" is, like, proven detrimental to creative enjoyment
