The struggle is real: I ride from Ravenswood Manor up to Kaufman’s in Skokie for their pumpernickel at least 2-3 times per month. Before Dinkel’s on Lincoln (approx 3300-north) closed, they were my bakery.

Had a few problems with that myself today - and surprisingly (to me), it was on the Skokie Valley Trail. Pedestrians chatting in groups and ignoring my signaling with bell and verbally. One asshole even said “Relax!” Does the colder weather bring them out? ‘Cause I didn’t see this all summer long!

My nearest Whole Foods holds all of my Amazon deliveries for pickup. No one fools me twice.
