One of my favorites from earlier this month, at the Fabyan Forest Preserve along the Fox River near Batavia, Illinois. I found the light that morning to be especially exquisite.

PSA: on Sat, Aug 30, a passing motorist found me and my bike in the intersection of Sheridan Rd and Kenilworth Ave. I’d passed out while riding at 23 mph per tracking app. A visit to urgent care revealed severe dehydration. You can see what happened to my helmet. Don’t skip hydration! #bikechi

Absolute banger of a bike ride today: the entire lengths of the North Shore Channel Trail, the Green Bay Trail and the North Branch Trail while wearing bib SHORTS! The weather was extraordinary for this late in November. Will be riding the endorphin high well into 2026 at this point. Just fantastic.

Heading home from Evanston, on the North Shore Channel Trail just above Golf Road. This was my favorite stretch of the trail in terms of fall color in 2024, too. Can’t imagine this will look like this in a few days.
