They want the gov’t run like a business but don’t want the gov’t to run businesses. 🙄 This has the added benefit of generating revenue too, which is good when you’re prioritizing a balanced budget. My only concern is sabotage by ill-motivated actors. Ideally, we get money out of politics first.

Trump folds like a cheap lawn chair under a single pound of pressure. His base is melting in two over Iran/WWIII. I literally have had zero worry about a war with Iran (still called the reps to voice my opposition though - gotta throw my handful of ounces into that pound).

See, the point you’re making is “if 4/10 blacks are violent and 3/15 whites are violent that gives police the right to kill 7/10 blacks”. And my point is “well a black person and white person that have committed a crime should be treated the same…and not killed, preferably.”

Black people. And even though this matters less, black people are still brutalized at outsized rates per capita than their white counterparts. It’s not the gotcha you think it is if you understand applied statistics and sociology.

And while we’re here - let’s clear something up. Black people being incarcerated at higher rates is also not an indicator of a higher disposition toward violent crime. Poverty has long been established as the primary motivator of crime regardless of race, which black people experience more.

If we’re talking about statistics around police brutality, then it’s more material to look at rates per capita of police interaction, because you don’t have to be a criminal to experience police brutality. Still, per capita, they are brutalized and killed more than their white counterparts.

The message was “black people are being unfairly targeted and brutalized by police, and white people only want to look at us when we are helping them forget that racism still exists by entertaining them or making them money.” But I understand how Googling something is difficult for the incurious.

Every dollar spent on repression is a dollar stolen from compassion. We were told there’s no money for healthcare, housing, or food—but there’s always funding for boots, bullets, and barricades. Priorities aren’t broken; they’re perfectly cruel by design.
