Not correct. They advertised it in project 2025. He tried to buy Greenland in his first term. His actions are not surprising, we need to ask our politicians why are we not better prepared.

No one needs to end NATO officially for it to be defunct. Russia only needs to be convinced that article 5 won’t be honored. Hard to imagine a more effective way to do that than US seize territory from another NATO country.

Great analysis, but I would argue that NATO is already lost. The task now is to form a successor to NATO that is a sufficient deterrent against grabby autocrats.
