Following the establishment of the junior girls programme, players started to age out and were looking for a senior team.
Eventually in 1998, after combining with players from Cheadle, Stockport set up a ladies team where the junior girls could continue to play for the club

In 1993, 117 years after the club was established, a junior girls section was started at the club. Spearheaded by Sue Nichols, the club started a girls team. The junior girls section is now made up of 4 age groups.

For over 20 years the club operated just one U15 team, until the early 70’s when an U13 team was established before moving to the 4 junior boys teams we have today
