Then, for the final finishing touch: One last tiny bit of paint to give her a little blush! 😊

And now she's complete!! 🥹❤️

I used a Cricut machine to cut out the more detailed shapes like the bow and hair, because I already had my concept sketches from earlier and it turns out they were usable :o

Then I layered them all with my brand new £5 hot glue gun that kind of works (barely), and Kiki came to life!! 😄❤️

By this point, my stitching under her face had come undone, so I stuck some new felt on the base and sewed the face to that instead.

Then I added her dress, and she finally looked much tidier, while starting to actually resemble Kiki a little bit! 👀

I painted her feet so they'd be more brown than Lynne's bright red boots, and sewed a scrap of white fleece onto her bottom in a very haphazard way that luckily isn't visible anymore...

Now she kind of just looked like a weird baby wearing a nappy 😭 So it could only get better from here!!

The first thing I did was remove all of Lynne's defining features! (This looks very violent but I promise she's fine 😅)

Removing glue was easy with a hairdryer, but turns out taking a seam ripper to everything else wasn't a great plan 🤔 I managed to stitch her back up, though!

I used Lynne as base instead of starting from scratch bc she has a cute face and I can't do embroidery lol. This is a very inefficient way of doing things, as it turns out!
