I got some new pins today and realised I've never shared any pictures of the pinboard my brother once called a "maximalist nightmare" 😄

(I actually placed everything on here with care one by one and I appreciate everything individually 🥰)

I used a Cricut machine to cut out the more detailed shapes like the bow and hair, because I already had my concept sketches from earlier and it turns out they were usable :o

Then I layered them all with my brand new £5 hot glue gun that kind of works (barely), and Kiki came to life!! 😄❤️

By this point, my stitching under her face had come undone, so I stuck some new felt on the base and sewed the face to that instead.

Then I added her dress, and she finally looked much tidier, while starting to actually resemble Kiki a little bit! 👀

I painted her feet so they'd be more brown than Lynne's bright red boots, and sewed a scrap of white fleece onto her bottom in a very haphazard way that luckily isn't visible anymore...

Now she kind of just looked like a weird baby wearing a nappy 😭 So it could only get better from here!!

The first thing I did was remove all of Lynne's defining features! (This looks very violent but I promise she's fine 😅)

Removing glue was easy with a hairdryer, but turns out taking a seam ripper to everything else wasn't a great plan 🤔 I managed to stitch her back up, though!

Gonna post some photos I took while transforming Lynne into Kiki! 💛❤️

I used Lynne as base instead of starting from scratch bc she has a cute face and I can't do embroidery lol. This is a very inefficient way of doing things, as it turns out!

I'm not an expert, I just wanted a Kiki!! 🥺

For now Kiki is recovering from the day with a hot drink, her radio, and her good friend Lynne from Ghost Trick :)

DAY 1 TSUM ALTERING TIPS:

1. A hairdryer melts glue to make it easy to remove!

2. EVERY stitch seems to be holding the entire tsum together and if not for the cute embroidered face it would've been less effort to just make a new one from scratch lmao

I replaced the magatama I made a while ago for Maya (it was getting a bit grubby and misshapen) and added the rest of her necklace beads too!!

The earliest tsums were a bit lacking in detail so I think she looks more complete now! 🥰💜
