The WHITE HOUSE posted this! The White House!

These people are damaged. Broken.

This is surprising only if you’re unfamiliar with the psychology of cults. A major characteristic being the sublimation of adherents’ self-interest in favor championing/parrotinf the leader’s specific interests and grievances. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...
Tariffs could cost them. They’re still standing by Trump.
Trump’s tariff policy poses a stark test of his ability to defy political gravity, dividing his allies but showcasing the remarkable faith of his die-hard base.

So all this worry and tumult may be nothing more than a market-manipulation, insider-trading scheme. The possibility of this had crossed my mind. I just didn’t think they’d be so brazen and obvious about it.

1/2 There is nothing more consequential in the near future than how the SCOTUS rules on the Kilmar Abrego Garcia case, and how the regime responds to it. It would be an abomination if ANY of the justices rule in the regime's favor…

The regime’s claims that they can’t make El Salvador release/return Kilmar Abrego García are, of course, transparent BS. They would rather an innocent man be imprisoned indefinitely, or even killed, than admit an mistake. That would look “weak.” wapo.st/3FY8qFV
DOJ says judge can’t order return of Salvadoran man wrongly deported

This truck was the first vehicle stopped when they closed Portland’s Morrison Bridge for the protest march to pass through. But instead of getting mad, the driver joined the party. #50501

I cannot stress enough how far this tariff madness is from anything resembling free-market conservatism. It is as “big government” as economic policy can get. And these Republicans for the most part are going along with it. Quislings and cowards, most of them. (The rest are MAGA cultists.)

The criminal White House regime has managed to make me wholeheartedly agree with Rand Paul on an issue of importance. Wonders never cease.

One of my interests is pervasiveness of scamming—it is a worldwide industry, generating revenues in the hundreds of billions of dollars. And it is built on the premise that if someone falls for the scam, they must be exploited until they get wise or are bled dry. This is how Trump-Musk operate.
“We must underscore that our freedoms are worth defending. Many decision makers are afraid, and so they choose a path of appeasement with a White House bent on revenge and aggrandizing power, hoping it will work. It won’t.” — Wesleyan University’s President Michael Roth in @time.com
Appeasing President Donald Trump Won’t Work
From Columbia University to Paul Weiss, leaders have gone beyond de-escalation into outright collaboration with Trump.

There was a time—not even that long ago!—when a president would be summarily impeached and possibly prosecuted for carr out this type of blatant extortion. Now it’s just a blip in the ever-churning news cycle. www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/pau...
White House rescinds executive order targeting law firm Paul, Weiss after $40 million pledge

This is blood-boiling. Charles Rogers was awarded the Medal of Honor in Vietnam after being wounded three times leading the defense of a position.

Google his name and the entry below comes up. When you click, you'll see the page has been deleted and the URL changed to include "DEI medal."

How DOGE is harming New England fishermen: I buy incredible Maine scallops directly from Downeast Dayboat, a distributor that buys off the boats. They got a USDA grant to market their excellent products. DOGE's illegal actions have left this small business on the hook for $30K already spent.

My message today for the POTUS and the VPOTUS is simple and comes from a song by the great Americans in the band Ween: “I’m sick of your mouth and your 2-percent milk.”

Similarly, it seems part of the reason it's so hard to get US citizens to get rowdy when their rights are threatened (unlike the French, and despite the rhetoric) is that our entire wellbeing — from paying for shelter, to access to medical care — is tied to our jobs. Probably by (partial) design.

Everything is a transaction to this wannabe mob boss. There’s no higher purpose, no noble ideal to at least strive for. It’s just a demented black hole of grift and bravado.

We might as well have Tony Soprano as POTUS. There might be some actual introspection, due to his therapy.
