I'm with you. I don't need more stuff, and my husband and I would rather do things together than buy things. But it took me years to convince my mother that I really don't want any gifts (she now buys me stuff to eat, which is fine).

Maybe it's because I'd rather swallow razor blades than run for office, but I think that the implication that people who care must go into politics is BS. Some people are good at that kind of thing and some aren't, and there's no shame in being the latter.

While that's completely true, it's also why I no longer watch or read a series until it's completely done.

If the MAGATs were actually interested in civil debate and not just "owning the libs", their argument might have some merit. Refusing to tolerate bigotry or treat it as a valid viewpoint is not the same as wanting to live in an echo chamber.

Also, at some point the MMR schedule changed from 1 to 2 doses in childhood. That happened after a lot of us had only received one dose, so I got a second one a few years ago just in case.

Not to mention no checks or balances, courts that will do whatever he wants, and a Justice Department filled with his toadies.

I would also find it "fun" to watch all the people who voted for him get hurt by the tariffs and mass deportations (because this will almost certainly devastate the economy), if not for the fact that the rest of us will be hurt right along with them.

I have not been able to bring myself to look at the news since last Wednesday. I know I should stay informed, but distraction is all that's keeping me going right now.

If I'm home, I'm wearing soft pants (unless it's summer, in which case it's soft shorts).
