With these references and my bathroom, I did use AI to come up with a render of the potential reno with the color tiles we want & more cozy, warm elements. I'm being upfront about it being AI. This was done to help me visualize the concept of modern + midcentury for this.

Part 76 of Amy's midcentury bathroom chronicles so she can get inspo for a reno she can't afford for another 5+ years. I went through Zillow listings of houses in my neighborhood built between 1956-1960. Not all yielded photos. No one had their complete original bathroom, but I found puzzle pieces.

haha a place that sells this tile style had a mockup feature for me to play with. There's limitations since it doesn't let me adjust the height the tiles go to on the wall. Ha I wish I could afford a full reno rn. At least the toilets are new now & i can visualize the og bathroom for future renos.

You motherfuckers ripped out beautiful tile wainscoting to leave some of the tile still behind and this shitty plastered edge???? Fuck the renos from the 1990's. Fuckin Christ I can't believe it's taken me a year in this house to figure out what's going on here.

Saw this photo of a 1960s bathroom & immediately thought it looks like my master bathroom but not powder blue. But my bathroom doesn't have the authentic sink (small counter with cabinets now, likely from the 90's). Floor tile is a white vinyl that I know isn't original. I need to investigate more.
