New moon, new year and new beginnings for @uhdnhs.bsky.social - after many years of planning by clinicians, over next months colleagues will be moving into our new Beach building to continue caring for our patients and new borns. Good luck for 2025 - going to be some year …
Now I am as enthusiastic as the next person about #HillFortsWednesday - but I think Pedro takes the dog biscuit for his love of Hod Hill in north Dorset. Flying over the ramparts and admiring what the Romans did to the place when they built their camp in the north west corner from AD 43

Despite absence of an actual Hillfort, there is link enough I hope for #hillfortsWednesday - Ackling Dyke is the mighty Roman thoroughfare that links Old Sarum and Badbury Rings, and they both count. Just in time for sunset …

Was worried there wasn’t enough time to get ride in around univallate perimeter of Chiselbury Hillfort, just above the Fovant army badges for #HillfortsWednesday - but there is always time! Glorious evening strava.app.link/aTeD0sul7Wb

#HillfortsWednesday is so yesterday - back to Kingston Lacey tonight for #TumuliThursday - is that thing @durotrigesdig.bsky.social - if not, can it be?

Late last year, the final module of The Coast Building at the Royal Bournemouth was installed ahead of schedule.

Set to open in winter 2025, this new facility will provide 110 new beds and enhanced spaces for staff.

Huge thanks to Darwin Group for helping us achieve this brilliant milestone! 🏗️👏🏼

Thanks for the invite! I can’t wait to visit the Beach in the spring
Last week we welcomed @vikkislademp.bsky.social to St Mary’s Maternity Unit. It was a great opportunity to share her personal memories of the unit with colleagues, as well as find out about the future of our maternity services in the new BEACH Building. Thanks for coming, Vikki! #TeamUHD

Thanks for coming Vikki and for sharing your memories. Looking forward to welcoming you to the Beach building very soon ...
great to visit St Mary’s Maternity Hospital Poole yesterday before it moves to brand new building in Bournemouth @uhdnhs.bsky.social
Talking to staff who were there when my daughter was born there, spaces barely changed but maternity is a wholly different service now, fascinating to learn more
