Everyday I wish they would bring back Royal Canadian Air Farce, specifically for the Chicken Cannon. They'd have a field day with so many rich deserving targets

Stop if you heard this before...Charge goalie keeps the team in it, in a game they had no business being in...only reason it was 0-0 at the end of 2nd...in the 3rd the damn broke...

I fear it's going to be a long season with all the holes after expansion and free agency...
November 23, 2025 at 4:22 PM
Agreed with you on that...pwhl wants the value to be max before they sell...totally get that...and everyone deserves to make a profit...
My 2 cents is feeling the pwhl is Sabre rattling...either to drum up support to move to ctc sooner than later or to get better lease rate with oseg.
November 23, 2025 at 4:33 AM
....in popularity despite some strange moves by the pwhl....see expansion...see late schedule confirmation...see handling of controversial players...

Pwhl is looking after their own interests...I get that but I also don't believe it's doom and gloom either
November 23, 2025 at 4:24 AM
I don't have all the answers but $40 is the lowest cost...tickets go as high as $300...the pwhl says 6500 isn't profitable...I call BS...

I went through Melnyk complaining the Senators aren't profitable..Travis Yost did great writes up how that was bs...

I also think women's hockey has exploded...
November 23, 2025 at 4:22 AM
Nope.. I look at facts...tell me where I'm wrong.
November 23, 2025 at 4:11 AM
Except it not...current salary cap for pwhl is 1.9 million cdn...current cheapest season tickets per seat is $40 per seat..at 6500, that's 260k a game x 16 home games is 4.1 million.

Yes coaching staff and travel and lease cost hits that overall, but revenue also doesn't include sponsors or tv

the plan is to build the new arena in the East end of the stadium, where the hill is now and once its completed and ready, tear down the north side stands and arena, then rebuild the north side stands

this is EXACTLY what is happening. PWHL reps presented at council in April 2024 and had nothing but praise for the project. The capacity was well known at the time.

Of course they have the right to change their mind but they would have more credibility if they were honest about the situation
November 19, 2025 at 2:13 PM
Not to mention, New York draws on average 2700 fans per game, and Boston 4000. So when is the PWHL going to threaten to take away their franchises since 6500+ isn't viable. Start work with the Sens, figure out an agreement with OSEG until the arena at LeBreton is built, what's the issue?

Not all men, but always men. Sorry for the hateful comments. Congratulations on your achievement. All the best.

It's suppose to dump another 2.2 cm in the next hour.
November 9, 2025 at 11:26 PM
to me, the rhetoric is a bit much, and this is really about the PWHL losing revenue in a smaller building for 2-3 years until LeBreton is build (hopefully) Remember the owner the PWHL (same guy who owns the Dodgers btw) didn't get to be a multi-billionaire by laying down and giving money away.
November 3, 2025 at 1:47 PM
... by going with a smaller arena....so are the PWHL going to threaten Boston they will move the team with the average attendance of less than 4000 and New York with the average attendance of less than 2700. Or are the Canadian teams and Minnesota Subsidizing the whole league?
