In case I didn’t make myself clear, I meant the traitorous eight senators.

President Newsom please talk some sense into our knucklehead senators.

Senator, you sound like an old Publisher's Clearinghouse sweepstakes come-on: "YOU'VE WON!*"

*but only an opportunity to win as it turns out in the fine print.

I hope so. Good thing the mid-terms are a year away.

Mighty fine bench, Mr. Marshall. May I ask if you considered a twin screw Moxon type vise especially those with the wooden screws? I saw them at Richard McGuire's site and they looked especially effective. Since I don't have room for a full size bench like yours I may get a portable Moxon.

Like many others I had a very primal emotional reaction (not a good one) to what happened tonight. I agree there are some redeeming features here but I also fear it dispirited the rank and file.

Schumer should go work for Trump. Perhaps as event coordinator of the new WH ballroom.

It is time to demand his resignation from the senate; not just remove him from leadership.

If Al Franken was forced out over something rather inconsequential surely we can force out these Quislings over vital matters of governance.
November 10, 2025 at 5:06 AM
It is time for a purge of a few Dem senators where the Dem Governor can replace them when they are forced to resign. Dem voters need to demand resignations and enlist our Governors to demand resignations.

It appears Shaheen was leading the cave team negotiations. Was that with Schumer's consent or not? If not, he is a feckless leader; if so, then a colossal hyprocrite. Either way unfit.

This is a triple defeat for the Dems. They will be blamed for the shutdown, blamed for rising insurance premiums, blamed for losing the mid-terms due to low voter turnout.
November 10, 2025 at 2:00 AM
So senator, you shut down the government for nothing and now the Dems will be blamed for that as well as their rising health insurance premiums. That will, in turn, depress Dem enthusiasm and turn out for the mid-terms. A triple defeat.

Vote NO. There is still time.

You should understand that a major reason for the wave election we just saw was extraordinary turnout driven in part by the Democratic party's willingness to shut down the government over a life and death cause. And you want to piss that hard earned spirit away now by caving. How dare you.

With all due respect Senator, this looks like caving. You are validating his tactics. His response to the election is to double down on pain to make you give in. It worked. You just gave in and he will now ratchet up the pain even more. How could you not grasp this?

Right. The gear is just a means to an end - a beautiful one I hope.
