Other adoptees have asked me if they should go back to their birth countries? My only advise is that if *you* choose to go (and no one else), please have a very open mind. The depths & breadth of what you may feel & experience will be both your joy and possibly your burden. #adoptees

From fellow adoptee Thai (Canadian) ~ we found out that we were at the same orphanage in Vietnam as babies.

"My roots began in the Mekong Delta amidst the chaos of the Vietnam War. My first home was in the care of the Divine Sisters of Providence Orphanage located in the city of Can Tho.

Thinking of my Korean adoptee friends today and the "temporary" martial law that was enacted last night. We recently returned from Korea and watched this Frontline special "South Korea's Adoption Reckoning" which uncovers allegations of fraud, abuse and trafficking.

For intercountry adoptees, it's never too late to visit your birth country #adoptee

Whether you are going to connect, soul search, find biological family, or just play tourist - remember that it is your own journey and no one can take that away from you.
