I once worked for a rather tyrannical boss who insisted on white shirts only as a dress code. I started to rebel with stripes and checks at rather a young age and am afraid I never went back to white.

I’ve not had the privilege of visiting the Vatican and seeing the tapestries, but have seen the cartoons several times (why not, when entry to the V&A is free?) and agree they are extraordinary

The Brush sign is an iconic landmark for us, visible from the platform at Loughborough as we journey from Beeston to London on the Nottingham to St Pancras line.

A trip to/from Loughborough would certainly be very appropriate as that’s where the first Thomas Cook excursion went from.
