On Alan Carr's Picture Slam earlier. A picture came up. The answer given, was Walrus. The contestant thought again and said Baby Seal.
Correct answer was.....

Cuttlefish!

I shit you not 😐.

I don't think this will be a Waxwing winter. In proper years I'd have seen some by now locally. They always arrive between Halloween and Bonfire night... watch this space...🤔

My all time favorite garden bird, the long-tailed tit. They are just such cute little fluffballs, their beaks so tiny it´s almost ridiculous. Had to paint these little critters in my Steamline Journal!

The spring wasn’t much better! I’m just completing my 25th year on east coast islands and this has been the worse. Dreadful.

Back in August I hoped that days South wind wouldn't stick til November. Well, it did, making this autumn pretty near the bottom of the league. Now, as winter starts, no doubt it will be a mild, wet and windy one.. 🤔

Boom! All the 'red-tailed shrikes' done in Suffolk this year with Isabelline Shrike at N Warren this afternoon. Made sweeter as it is a grip back for me too, having missed the previous birds. No matter what anyone says to me, I can't see such pale birds not being isabellinus
