Have been drafting a piece on this for MFW today. I do think JHT’s stance hasn’t helped in terms of managing a group of people but equally the leadership group of players are best placed to understand the importance of creating a culture and setting standards.

I can’t see JHT leaving. He’s already talking about promotion in 3 years by way of setting expectations

Mitigation will be the necessary rebuild and overhaul of the squad

But very few coaches would survive his record over the last 14 games

The model means we’ll be selling / replacing every summer. They have to find some stability and consistency in playing style, otherwise transition will be the new norm and excuse.

More worrying is that a top half finish next year can be considered as improvement.
