Nov. 25, 1925: Turkey bans the fez. With just 2 dissenting votes, the National Assembly passes President Mustafa Kemal's Hat Law, which specifies "the general headdress for the Turkish nation is the hat" and forbids “the continuation of any habit in contradiction with this." 1/5

I heard that one of the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” filming locations burned down this week in the LA fires, which caused me to want to revisit a few episodes. And I have to tell you, years later – I still know all the words to the musical episode. 😂

Post-election reading:

The views of working class Germans (baker, tailor, clerk, etc) about Hitler and fascism, interviewed after WW2.

Most had fond memories of the Nazi period, did not see Hitler as evil. For them Jews were “cheaters” who took jobs from them. Not impressed by democracy. 😬
