I mean, at this point I think it's better to ask who on the coaching staff or in the FO helped contribute to this disaster and whether they can learn from those mistakes so that we don't screw up the next kid

If our DBs were actually good, our weak QB play would've been our achilles heel against the Rams or Eagles DL. Like, you can do this forever
November 21, 2025 at 1:17 AM
Why did it need to be addressed? Because the defense is poor against the pass?

It isn't! Not everything is always a problem that needs to be fixed.

"Say if we were actually good at other things, this would be our biggest problem" is true of literally anything.

Dog, we're one injury away from any number of horrible things! What are we doing here? We're a Reichard injury from having a fullback kick field goals, should we sign another kicker?

This would be like if Marty McFly spent all of Back to the Future looking for a Pepsi Free instead of, like, getting Back to the Future

Have things on defense been anecdotally frustrating? Yes. Have things been perfect? No, of course not.

But we're all dunking on something that is the 15th least problematic thing in the org rn
November 20, 2025 at 8:54 PM
I know in the general doom of the Vikings season it's become easy to criticize the whole org, but the defense has been, like... Good? Almost no matter how you measure it, opponents are below average passers and runners against the Vikes this year.

Mashed potatoes aren't porous though. Not to be a bread truther or anything, but you sort of need some capillary action here to really get those juices off the plate.

Stuffing could work ig, but there's something about moving the bread sponge with your hand that doesn't feel right otherwise.

How are you going to sop up your sauces and gravy? Just going to lick your plate clean?
November 19, 2025 at 5:33 PM
Fuck, I feel better already. I've always wanted a guaranteed post-Jeff Fisher Jared Goff!
November 10, 2025 at 5:03 AM
Come on, man, I'm trying to cope here :(
November 10, 2025 at 4:43 AM
Nah, you need a head start on hiring Belichick before the other teams fire their coaches
November 1, 2025 at 2:27 PM
Nah man, the actual mark of a good football team is losing by less for the most time

They probably need to send at least some capital with Tua when they trade him at this point
October 19, 2025 at 7:44 PM
Like, just compare MLB statcast to what we're working with for the NFL. What's the downside to making reliable info public?
October 16, 2025 at 5:56 PM
Yeah, I feel like the issue with the "democratization of sports data" is that making an LLM that people interact with to have it spit out a number/table is just giving the public access to your database with both extra steps and obfuscation.

Like, cool ig

How does it help the other team? It doesn't meaningfully change the Cincy title odds. To the extent that they may win, like, 6 games instead of 5, that just hurts Cincy's draft capital in an otherwise lost year.

Barely outdueling Mac Jones used to be a bad thing
October 6, 2025 at 7:28 PM
I just spend every week forcing myself to remember the Lions, Rams, and Jags games
