Just imagine the difference if @Keir_Starmer had lifted the 2 child cap on child benefit, found a better way to means test the WFA, not raised NI - but instead raised funds by taxing huge wealth and windfall taxes on corporations. Would we now be in a very different place?

So the tariffs being imposed by the US are NOT based on the tariffs they are being charged by other countries at all, but on the trade deficits! Why aren't the media picking up on this? @newsagents.bsky.social

It's hard for me (in UK) to keep track of what on earth Trump and Musk (and their henchmen) are doing in the USA. The've flooded the zone with so much idiocy since inaguration - but it feels like at some point soon something has to crack, or implode. Is this just wishful thinking on my part?
