Compulsory voting would compel people to actively decide against, rather than standing by passively as the far right takes power. All those non voters who say “they’re all the same as each other” but actually don’t want neo Nazis in power must vote against it. You don’t bank online then?

Make it a legal requirement that everyone must vote - as in Australia? Make voting easier with secure on line voting? Drop the requirement for ID that shut out an estimated 2m voters? Have a proportional representation system? There are ways to shut out the far right.

I think the fact he addressed the AfD, the actual German Nazi party, suggests he did “literally” Nazi salute no “likened” about it.
