Still ticking, still kicking.
One choice can so easily lead to another.

I found a YT clip of the mummy's first movements but I'm still searching for the complete movie. I'm really looking forward to seeing it.
Anything the dreaded Hayes Code wouldn't permit is aok with me. 🙂

. . . the body horn on the treble side appears to point back uncomfortably towards the neck. If the neck had been mounted a few more degrees to the left it might have cured that issue.

Body shape is pleasing to the eye but, as noted in previous comments, possibly impractical.
Not much area for anchoring the neck to the body and if that's where the strap button is the headstock would be pointing at magnetic south as soon as you release your grip.

Also . . .

Ah, you've sold it to me.
I'll dig it out (😉) and report back to you.

If my ❤️ survives . . .

You know that a GA-20 is a vintage Gibson amplifier, right?
Sounds great from this evidence.

I think he was trying every means possible to stay in office by that January 6th, Robin. The underlying thrust of the speech he gave that day was clear, only not as blatant as the BBC edit – which was plainly misleading.
A pity to supply such ammunition to those set on discrediting the institution.

I remembered being freaked out by Event Horizon with Sam Neill 20 or more years ago, which might have made your list.
I went for the sci-fi and left looking very wan and pasty indeed.

I love late era silent and 1930s movies as a general rule. The cinematography, lighting and story telling skills. ✅

Sandy, me old China plate! So good to hear from you. ❤️

I've been on an Apple laptop for a few years now. I doubt that anything with Windows in the title is going to be compatible.

Another interesting read, thanks Maggie.
Of all the films you list I think I've only seen a paltry 4, perhaps 5 – The Mummy is possible in 1970s late night showings at The Electric Cinema near my home after the pubs shut. Hence my uncertainty. ☺️

(2011, video stores! Ahh. 🙂)

Oh, Diana! ❤️

Perhaps.
I'm able to adopt a period mindset when viewing older films – it's how I get through A Hard Day's Night so frequently - but I'm not a great horror fan. Far too squeamish.
I can cope with road accidents, etc., but not greatly inclined to watch it for entertainment. 😔
Other folk love them!

Agreed on all counts.

(If you were hoping for the full half hour argument you'll need to try a bit harder than that! 🙂)

My band attempted a reggae version of Country Roads.
That was two counts against it as far as I was concerned. It failed to go anywhere.

Love Proud Mary but meh on The Weight. Far from my favourite Band song.

Glad you're still choiring. You must be feeling fortified by it now?

One piece of wood indicates no truss rod, obvs. Looks as if it could almost double as a lap steel.

A wonderful bit of history of which I was previously unaware.
Thanks for continually plugging the holes in my knowledge.
