Still ticking, still kicking.
Contractual obligation cat pics for January.

Regular visitor Tom displays injuries after a longish life street brawling with other males – a scarred nose and a permanently damaged ear. Rather partial to roast chicken.

Cassie and BB share Cassie's bed near a heat source. BB gave up a minute later.

You know him as Alan Davies joint sharer on “QI,” or the buddy on “Black Book,” but Bill Bailey is also an accomplished pianist.

1973.
It's been a sometimes wild ride since then.
Jeez, that was me at 19 years old!
I'll try to find a photo.

Bingo! Alas no sabre.
The moustachioed me doesn't seem to be on the laptop.

If anyone was going to be taking wobbly steps at Christmas I'd rather hoped it was going to be me.
I've still got time.

Happy thread, especially for those of us with a backyard wildlife park.
OMG. For those who know about my backyard squirrel pals, something amazing just happened. Sammy, the squirrel who stands up on my kitchen window sill & waves at me to get me to give her peanuts just did that but also CALLED OUT to me!!

I heard a weird squeaky hinge sound,

I have to say, this is not how I foresaw my Friday starting at all.
Discovering a new band, or more accurately a collaboration, and having my brain melted at the same time.
But I like it.
I’ve only heard of them from their collab with Teitur last year. Very atmospheric

Enjoying the Anthology series much more than I'd expected to at the moment. A Guardian review said it would remind you why you fell in love with them in the first place and that's certainly been the case for me.
Love them I do.

Wrinkly old Wystan seemed to know a thing or two about Tyrants.

(Actually in 1939, and being only 22 then, he was probably still smooth young Wystan. Not the Auden I recognise though.)

A sad loss indeed.
Played his music thousands of times in a band over a tenure of 23 years.
Not complex, just effective. ❤️
Sad news to wake up to 😕 Met and interviewed him and Donald ‘Duck’ Dunn when they were touring with the Blues Brothers Band. Lovely guy, absolute gentleman

His focus is admirable.

Anyone here edited videos using CapCut and wouldn't mind answering some basic questions?
I chose it for it's supposed user friendliness but (frustratingly) found it far less intuitive than the Windows Movie Maker that served me well 12-15 years ago. No longer an option.
Help!

Happy 123rd birthday today to Battersea-born Elsa Lanchester.
I've never worked out how she could have married that guy Frank while wearing stilts while all the time she was married to that Charles Laughton guy?
Hollywood, huh?
