Still ticking, still kicking.
Anyone here edited videos using CapCut and wouldn't mind answering some basic questions?
I chose it for it's supposed user friendliness but (frustratingly) found it far less intuitive than the Windows Movie Maker that served me well 12-15 years ago. No longer an option.
Help!

The clearest explanation for the current upheaval at the BBC that I've so far found.
Thanks @jimallthetime.bsky.social. Good job, sir.
WTF is happening with the BBC?
It's a coup. And it's appalling

It's been a while since I inflicted a cat photo on Bluesky so here we go.

I'm sure it's come up in conversation, now that I mention it.
Did I mention I was ancient?
I forget.

Happy 123rd birthday today to Battersea-born Elsa Lanchester.
I've never worked out how she could have married that guy Frank while wearing stilts while all the time she was married to that Charles Laughton guy?
Hollywood, huh?

Only one organ? Call advertising standards immediately!

Just did the YT search thing and found this little marvel. My band has been trying to figure out a way to cover this song without horns for years. Won't they be surprised!

As things turn autumnal here, the wood pigeons are nicely plumped up on berries and preparing for another winter.
The tree tops, however, are feeling the strain.

Spent a pleasant Sunday afternoon at a mystery location on the northern edge of the M25.
The steam, the coal, the hot oil. The smut.
Sadly no Celia Johnson Brief Encounter moments.
Just as well, I suppose.

Sunday morning rabbit hole.
1982/83, the Ford Cortina fades into history and Alexei larks about on the Goldhawk Rd in Shepherds Bush. You had to be there.

(This isn't the Mr Sweary version. Still looking for that one.)

It takes a lot to get me to watch an hour of YouTube chatter.
Glyn Johns, with his amazing CV, turns out to have an engaging personality with an intact sense of humour and very interesting things to say. If the music he's been involved with is important to you, you might like to give a listen too.

The stories we tell matter. I know this not from watching but from memory. I was just a child, held behind barbed wire in a U.S. internment camp, when an atomic bomb obliterated Hiroshima—killing members of my family.

Flaco Jiménez passes at 86.
I had the great pleasure of hearing his unforgettable musicianship when two Ry Cooder tours came through London in the 1970s.
Rest easy, sir.
