Northern lights in the middle latitudes. Pueblo West, Colorado sits at 38.3° lat. in the Arkansas River valley, with the Pikes Peak massif just north. At 7 p.m. MST, I could see the red glow. Greenish glow may be lights of Colorado Springs.

Mountain wave clouds with some embedded lenticulars, forming over the Wet Mountains in SE Colorado. These often present as lines of clouds parallel to the SE-NW trending ridge line, in contrast to the usual W->E wind flow here. The Wets adjoin the Great Plains.

For my first anodyne post on this platform, I'll introduce our two dogs, Lindy and Bonita. Both are retired momma dogs, rescued from puppy mills, and both appear to prefer our boring lifestyle here to living in a cage.
