Delighted to find four of the six shortlisted books are under 200 pages. I’ve always preferred a succinct novella to a hardback doorstop, even more so now the attention span of my phone-addled, post-Covid brain is destroyed.

Delighted to find four of the six shortlisted books are under 200 pages. I’ve always preferred a succinct novella to a hardback doorstop, even more so now the attention span of my phone-addled, post-Covid brain is destroyed.
It’s been a week of spotting guitar heroes. Monday I saw Hüsker Dü’s Bob Mould get in a cab, Thursday I saw Paul Weller sat outside a deli and today I saw Peter Hook step out the lift in my hotel in Paris (he saw me look up and said “nice little lift, that”).

Interesting article on RA in @theguardian.com but lack of context. Obviously sad if anyone loses jobs but odd to blame the sector when % drop in visitors is far less in comparable galleries. No consideration given to programming shift either. www.theguardian.com/artanddesign...
