Performing arts venues need to learn a valuable lesson from airlines - there are millions of dollars in profits to be made by having some seats with extra legroom and charging extra for them. The arts are chronically underfunded and this is an easy way to generate more revenue.
My long legs awkwardly angled into the aisle at Seattle's Paramount Theater because Seattle Theater Group would rather pack more people in than remove some rows of seats and charge more.
