I liked it. Meltzer and Mensch have done 4 of them I believe, all about different assassination plots on different presidents that were ultimately foiled (Washington, Lincoln, FDR, and now Kennedy)

They’re always really well researched and easy to read, but I like Meltzer’s writing in general

I’ve watched plenty of hockey on drugs, this is different

It’s well written and researched and both stories are very interesting. But I would get super immersed in one story only for the chapter to end and it’d pick up the other. I’d be annoyed that it wasn’t what I’d just been into. But it’d reel me in by the end of the chapter just to switch back again

I understand the juxtaposition of the events happening in the same time span and all but it just felt like 2 different books chopped up and rebound as a single book
