I’m honored to continue being on staff with this great organization. This annual event brings together diverse faith communities across SW Michigan in a spirit of gratitude and celebration for the harvest and harvesters.
The Celebration of the Harvest and Harvesters is THIS weekend!

We invite all friends, neighbors, and community partners to join us in celebrating the harvest and honoring the contributions of farmworkers.

Yesterday, our food pantry broke a single day record of serving 233 households in a single 120 minute shift.

Food insecurity is growing fast. At the same time, lawmakers are slashing vital food programs that help families get by.

thank you for sharing these stories @tfenwick.bsky.social
These camps are often portrayed as if their residents are inherently inflicting harm on nearby housed residents.

But they can just as easily be the victims of people looking to make trouble.

In our food allergy family, donuts are usually a no-go.

I recently made the following vegan powdered sugar donuts (like beignets) in 30 minutes:

- get a can of biscuits (for us, ones without dairy or egg)
- place them on a pan and cut out donut holes
- deep fry at 350-375
- cover in powdered sugar

I’m halfway through this book and am learning SO much.

One thing that’s already transforming how I cook - tasting my food as I cook. Why haven’t I been doing this all along?

Also, add MORE salt. And then a little more…
