I don't do Christmas, on account of being an atheist, however, I am a hardcore humanist, and so I would like to wish all of you, irrespective of how you identify or class yourselves, the very best that humanity can muster, I wish peace, love, kindness and understanding for all of you.

The more I hear from that reprehensible idiot Lammy, the more my thoughts turn to The Birmingham Six, The Guilford Four, and all the other numerous miscarriages of justice inflicted on innocent people, who cannot reclaim their lost time, the man clearly has the intellect of toilet paper!

To those of you who have not yet watched The White House Effect on Netflix, or wherever else it is available, I strongly urge you, in fact I beg you to watch it, but only if you think you'll be able to cope with the depression that you'll definitely feel after watching it. You have been warned.

Against my better instincts I was seduced into signing up for Apple TV, just because I wanted to watch Slow Horses, all was well until a couple of weeks ago, when things stopped working, and guess what folks, solutions and customer service is non-existent, patience depleted! ACCOUNT CANCELLED, 🖕

The best thing about a midlife crisis, when you swing hard back to your youth, and refuse to wear anything but a rock t-shirt and jeans, is that old age and experience equips you with the common sense and cunning to wear a silk vest under the t-shirt so the cold weather doesn't kill you........

I bloody hate new years day, especially when the weather is shit, especially when you've had lots of rest, and now I'm full of excess energy that I just want to expend in the most inappropriate of ways, I feel sorry for my neighbours later, or any other innocent bystander that gets in the way later!

And still @ 22:55 GMT I carp on, because we aren't given enough characters to get the point across, indulge your passion for the arts and music my friends, there is no sweeter, more life affirming way to bankrupt yourselves! Buy all the fucking books, all the vinyl, all the T-shirts and be happy!

To elaborate on my earlier post, for those who can pay attention at this time of night (GMT), Jeff Beck had a very deep impact on me, I saw him play live, which on each occasion felt very special, my point here is, for you music lovers out there, irrespective of the genre, carpe diem!

Art is profound, sounds almost ridiculous, trite even to say it aloud. I've just watched the Yardbirds documentary on Sky Arts, which features a guitar hero of mine, the late, greatest, Jeff Beck, and as we approach the first anniversary of his passing, I'm still struggling.

The being "followed" by users, who amazingly all seem to be very young ladies with barely any posts is unnerving isn't it? Are these the bots that people talk about? The profiles are really dodgy!

So as a Brit, having learned about the assassination of Brian Thompson, and reading about the really appalling treatment of people insured by his company, I can't help but ask, are there any health insurance providers in the US who operate with decency, integrity and compassion?
