In Indiana, nearly all the 300+ private schools that receive vouchers are religious and exempt from tax reporting. There’s no way to know how much self-dealing takes place.
At least seven private schools in Texas have issued personal loans, often reaching $100,000 or more, to their school leaders under terms that are often not public. Such practices would typically violate laws if they were public and charter schools.

Republicans get <60% of the vote in Indiana but control 100% of US Senate seats, 78% of US House seats, 80% of state Senate seats and 70% of state House seats. How much more can they gerrymander?
