Woke up to this. Instead of reacting angrily, I had to remember what I tell my clients; took a breath, and asked myself questions. Was it normal behavior, a tempting trashcan, or an emotional outburst? I chose kindness, offering affection, a regular meal, and a special walk with just him and I.

This is Penny one of the 1st good dogs that helped break my own bias against small dogs. Before I became a trainer I had a lot of incorrect ideas of what small dogs were capable of. Dogs of all sizes can do amazing things if given the space to make decision and allowed to push through scary things.
