Found out the other day that the idea for taking “Mission: Impossible” from tv and making a film series dates back to the early 80’s. The original choice for the role of Ethan Hunt was Wallace Shawn. Unfortunately, it didnt work out as they would have to retitle the series “Mission: Inconceivable”.

After seeing Nosferatu last night (an absolute MASTERPIECE, by the way), I really want Eggers to follow it up with a remake of the lost Lon Chaney movie “London After Midnight” with Dafoe in the Chaney role. He can nail the creepy smile and we already know he can wear the he’ll out of a top hat.
