“I like beautiful melodies telling me terrible things” - T Waits
It’s easy to let the world break you down, but I recommend everyone go be Santa for a few hours in your community. I’ve been an actor for 40 years, and today I played Santa for the first time in our Colorado town. It was some of the most fun I’ve had performing. The kids made me laugh all day long.

When you talk about great movies set in the snow, “Fargo” is probably the GOAT. But don’t overlook Liam Neeson in “The Gray”.

Asked Starla at breakfast today just what she sees in Great Uncle Earl.

“He’s kind, he’s funny, he’s thoughtful. But mainly the bonin’ and the groanin’”.

I think he might have met his soul mate.

If you’re a program director for a radio station that plays Christmas music and you don’t play “Christmas in Hollis” by Run DMC, what are even doing? Just wasting our time is what.

Woke up to find Great Uncle Earl sitting on the porch with his new wife, Starla. He said he’s been basting his yams for three days, but he wasn’t carrying any produce. The day has taken a turn.

I saw a post trying to figure out which Muppets would be on the Epstein list. Kermit was an obvious no, Statler & Waldorf were both yes. Agreed with that, but they said Gonzo was a no. Gonzo gets freaky with chickens, and you know Epstein had to have a poultry room. Gonzo was on the island.

“Sisu: Road to Revenge” is what would happen if the Road Runner finally said to the Coyote, “Okay, mf-er, I just bought out the Acme warehouse, and I’m hunting you”. Total blast.

Re: gas and food prices. Are you really listening to a man who has never bought food for himself and has only driven a golf cart for the last 50 years?

Confession time: I was skeptical about “Black Phone 2”. I thought the first was a perfect little one-and-done thriller that went exactly far enough. I saw 2 today, and I was wrong. @crobertcargill.bsky.social & Scott Derrickson - I apologize and will not let it happen again. Just fantastic.

Watched “Night Moves” (1975) for the first time, and boy, stating the obvious, Gene Hackman one hell of an actor.

Okay…”One Battle…”. I really really liked it, but I’m not sure it’s the masterpiece that people are saying. It’s definitely relevant, but the tone is all over the place. PTA is one of our great directors, and there’s definitely some top tier scenes in this, but I think I’m missing something.

Just a reminder: the US Border Patrol is in Chicago, a city 1,471 miles from the US-Mexico border.

Just a reminder, the orange fuhrer just told the military that those that don’t agree with him are the “enemy within” and should be treated as such.

They way Trump is going after Tylenol, they must have the Epstein Files in time-release gel cap form.

General rule of thumb: if someone is demanding you to agree to a “pledge”, they are not looking out for you.

Finally saw “The Long Walk” stunning in every way. Hoffman and especially Jonsson are unbelievably good. This is a fine addition to the best films by our Constant Writer, @stephenking.bsky.social. One of the best of the year.

Seriously, the first media company that has the stones to stand up to these knobs and say, “Screw you, we’re not changing a goddamned thing. See you in court” would have my loyal viewership for life.

I’ve been saying this for years: once they get rid of the gays, blacks, Mexicans, liberals, etc., who’s left? Those who make less than 2 million a year. You may be higher up on the food chain than me, but you’re still on the menu.

Watching the orange buffoon in England and all I can think is he’s the guy who shows up at the party, clogs up the toilet and clearly didn’t use any TP.

I’ve discovered with my current facial hair and hair length, as long as I’m wearing a baseball hat, it’s not bad. However the moment I take the hat off, you can’t help thinking, “Well there’s a fella who’s found himself on a watch list a few times”.

I once had a massage in which it felt like she managed to rub UNDER my kneecaps, and honestly, I’ve been chasing that high ever since.

Had to shave my beard down for SHARK to just a ‘stache and 70’s sideburns. I currently look like either a truck driver or a carny. Either way, I resemble a guy who has definitely taken someone across state lines.

So after today’s little display, we’re all just going to start referring to Trump’s book as “The Art of the Kneel”, right?
