#r4today Michael Gove on the radio says UK more susceptible to COVID than Sweden because we have a more unequal society. So how did his VIP Lane, that passed tax money to rich Tories, help improve that inequality???? Why is he allowed to get away with saying that unchallenged???

Andrew is to move to the Sandringham Estate. The estate itself includes villages and hamlets, where it also has residential properties let to people living and working locally. Will the Mail and Express will be drumming up local support to banish the alleged paedophile from the area?

liveapp.inews.co.uk/category/400... This says Labours silver lining is that tactical voting took place, and people voted to keep Reform out. If so, it was to stop enactment of their policies. If that is the case, why are Labour trying to out-Reform Reform if they think people hate those policies??

#celebritytraitors I reckon that the next round table will see JR go and, if she sees enough people gunning for him, Cat will write his name on her board. With the poor quality of faithfuls, they would likely see her vote as proof she is one of them.

#c4dispatches one thing not covered is the effect on jobs indirectly. AI will use up huge amounts of power and water, and if this leads to shortages, how will that affect existing industries not trying to use AI, be it on their supply or the impact on their workforces? This might be a bigger effect

app.independent.co.uk/2025/10/14/2... Do we really think that the idiots running around in flags, painting roundabouts and pi**ing up walls could meet even half this standard??? This just means they are winning.

liveapp.inews.co.uk/category/396... Irony-meter goes wild as the council most affected is Kent, now run by Reform, whose members were the most vehement that Brexit was needed.
Dover road for post-Brexit border checks still not built just weeks before deadline
Checks for cars at Dover will take up to six times longer – and kiosks to take passengers’ fingerprints may not be operational when EES launches on Sunday

Never forget that Farage and Reform want this for the UK, for Insurance companies to decide if you live or die.

BBC News - Police to get broader powers to restrict repeated protests
www.bbc.com/news/article... So, the Govt will have the ability to say 'saw saw, we heard, we ignored. Now shut up'? Nothing at all authoritarian about that, apart from all of it.
Police to get broader powers to crack down on repeated protests
Officers will be able to tell organisers to move demonstrations if protests have caused "repeated disorder".

Bringing food to starving people is quite the opposite of terrorism even if it will feed some terrorists.

The way to defeat Hamas is through policing and growing relations with Palestinian people. Building schools, shelters, and providing basic services/infrastructure.

#bbcnewsnight. But rich if Jake Berry to say about keeping data safe when, as a Tory, his government decided to give US firm Palantir access to health data for nothing.

#politicslive Jake Berry saying Andy Burnham is wrong with investment plans as it would upset bond markets. Farage says Truss budget was a good thing. Didn't really see the bond markets like it, what with the huge rise in rates. Hypocrisy from Reform??? Surely not.

If Stella does leave, are we going to get Pip a) feeling sorry for herself, then b) blaming Ruth for helping with the harvest and so allowing Brian to blow up and so Stella resign? And will Rosie start to wonder why parents keep leaving her? #thearchers

#newsnight Tonight really stuck to the 'must appeal to Redorm viters' by only allowing the Reform guy to speak for Aby amount of time, and not seriously challenging his lies. This is pathetic.

#includeSpinGuestCheap . One summer, when I was 18, me and my mate stayed in a seaside guest house. One night, we ended up playing spin-the-bottle was a couple of local lasses. It may have been a cheap night, but was certainly the most memorable. Not least as I am now married to one of those lasses!

#includeHinderBankMetal I was born with a weak foot, particularly my toes. I loved athletics, but my foot would always hinder me. But now, I have had the bones replaced with titanium rods. Now, when I run, I bank on the strength of my metal tarsals.

Watching #Glastonbury. Rod Stewarts band are so good, and the arrangements fantastic. Rod OK sometimes, but other times wouldn't even win a Rod Stewart sound-alike contest. Earlier #snowPatrol brilliant.
