Trump doesn’t understand the basis of American power post-1945 at all. To him all of it is just a waste of money. Therefore America is effectively resigning as a superpower
Trump acts with the arrogance handed to him by decades of American leadership, but is unwilling to engage in any of the actions which entitled America to that leadership. We are watching US power dwindle in real time, day by day, under his leadership.
