Living in Seattle with wife and cat; working as QA Manager and quizmaster. Looking forward to the next visit with the grandkid.

Likes: Software quality, solving problems, and walks on the beach.
Dislikes: mean people, soggy nachos, and ants in the pants.
Imagine being a parent of a 7-year-old who keeps bringing stuff to show you. A crayon drawing. Then a kitchen knife. Their math homework. Then a rat. Then a loaded gun.

Now imagine you can't tell them to stop, or take things away. All you can do is watch.

Non-MAGA America feels kinda like that.

Setting aside the issues of legality ... Musk is proving in real-time something anyone experienced in software knows.

For new development, fine, get a few developers. But if you're rewriting something big that is already running, you need QA, or something is gonna break.

(1/) We elect government people to work on our behalf. After this last two weeks, I felt compelled to share publicly; on the chance my vote will still matter in future elections, I want to be clear what I'm looking for.

@pramilajayapal.bsky.social Suggestion for Dem approach: organized posts telling the President to #DoYourJob. Not only to point when he does non-Prez things. Congrats for when he does very basic things. Reminders for when he is about to (like SOTU). Give proactive coaching. He will like that.

@aoc.bsky.social Just a suggestion for Dem approach. how bout organized posts telling the President to #DoYourJob. Not only to point when he does non-Prez things. Congrats for when he does very basic things. Reminders for when he is about to (like SOTU). Give obvious coaching. He will like that.

Ok, my Meta account is hanging by a thread at this point, and it's time to spend more time under blue skies. How are things, all? Hope I haven't missed all the fun!
