Hospital day 7 and just watching @darrenpjones.bsky.social on both Sky News and BBC Breakfast and, as ever, hugely impressed with his performance and credibility. I feel hopeful for the future - he would make for a fabulous PM!

Ze left boob has GONE today (well, yesterday…) and yes I could share lots of teary photos of me pre and post operation but decided to share this spaced out looking one instead! Lovely kip during surgery but absolute raging insomnia now, bien sur….. 🤪

Chemo day today (5 more to go 🤪💪🏼) which invariably = ´insomnia night’ due pesky anti-sickness steroids. Whilst annoying, I am very much enjoying this pilot episode of the ´Big Beautiful Bust up between Trump and Musk’ and REALLY hoping that our US cousins commission a full series 👌🏽

As the fevered speculation around a new James Bond continues, may I suggest the incroyable Brit, Aaron Pierre, who shone in one of our fav films from last year, Rebel Ridge, and who ticks every box unless you are prone to racist tendencies and dress it up as ‘not what Ian Fleming would have wanted’.

Mississippi Burning will forever remain etched in my brain for so many reasons, not least because of the magnificence of Defoe and this man, Gene Hackman. A master and class act in absolutely everything he touched.
