Please show that you want to see diverse voices in crime fiction. By buying a copy of Crime Ink: Iconic (or asking your library to). Show the LGBTQIA+ authors who are often excluded from anthologies some love! Order here: bywaterbooks.com/product/crim...

Last night at Harvard Square a random young woman approached me and asked I wanted to come to church. I texted about this encounter, and my spouse quickly replied, "Say yes to the crèche."
And this folks, is why I wed him.

When people ask how my summer is, it's usually...full of bunnies. From April to about October it's taking in and caring for injured, ill, or orphaned wild bunnies. It's fascinating, exhausting, spectacular, and (at times) lonely work.

Queer authors are majorly underrepresented in crime fiction anthologies. Bywater Books created Crime Ink: Iconic, short crime stories featuring queer icons written by LGBTQIA+ authors (including me!) Preorder a copy. You know the family (motto: be queer, do crimes) KNOW what they are writing about.

governments should spend money, literally all their fucking money. on taking care of the people from whom they got the money. on building cool shit for the people from whom they got the money to use, like highways and public works. this is real easy

how can these people be so bad at this
We should reject outright the framing that the answer is to cut spending, that it needs to be cut. Even giving in to that is playing into conservatives’ hands, letting them set the edges of the debate.
Welker to Slotkin: "Democrats were in charge for four years. You were in Congress at the time. Why didn't Democrats do more to cut government spending when they were in charge?"
