Yes that is my point. My entire generation was told to get a degree because “you don’t want to flip burgers do you?” We went through the school with No Child Left Behind and countless standardized tests. That we have a collective massive debt and missed critical learning is not a coincidence.

Unfortunately this what was pushed on my age group (mid 30s) when we were in high school. I had to sit in a presentation where the head of guidance quite literally said that it didn’t matter what degree we got and if we had to go into debt for it, we would be able to make enough money to pay it off.
