I have been reading the Financial Times lately, which, though personally expensive, is worth it for me as a sociologist.

It is MUCH more informative than even a cursory read of something like NYT even as a dissident.

Reason is because the capitalist class spells out their thinking clearly.

I thought for a while that if you modified an LLM with the ability to learn some of Chomsky's rulesets that it could go somewhere. That might have some utility for translation/translating technologies overall, but Chomsky's theories are proven right when it comes to LLMs (esp poverty of stimulus).

Study what you find interesting, because none of us are guaranteed a future anyway. And if you think the humanities and history do not matter, think about all the people invested in trying to stop you from studying them, and ask why.
