Unfortunately they and Ofcom have been pulling their punches on enforcement since the OSA was enacted. The promise of making the UK the “world’s safest online environment” is a distant memory.

Do we as licence payers get much return from the huge investment in US correspondents? Some rebalancing away from breathless reporting of the nonsense over there would be welcomed by many of us.

BBC could stave off possible enforcement for years. So much could happen in that time.

So, he bars BBC from White House access and some journalists have to cover UK news instead? I could live with quite a lot of that punishment.
