Tonight our @hackney Labour cabinet voted to accept a £6.6m Government grant to support improving the energy systems in public buildings incl 9 Hackney schools - cheaper and greener energy for Hackney.

@london.gov.uk Mayor of London is right. Delivering more nursery places supporting parents and their children is welcome. But the GLA needs increased powers over London's Education and Housing and to redistribute wealth from the wealthy boroughs to the poor
Since September 2023, children in London’s state primary schools have had access to a free school meal everyday thanks to City Hall funding. From today, children in 80 of London’s primary schools will also have access to a healthy breakfast too.
