Over the past few nights I watched a 2 part series on Teddy Roosevelt. I didn’t know how progressive he was for that time period. Nor how bold. We really need such a leader. Really willing to take on corporate greed and political corruption. Who will come out of the shadows to be this person?

A friend at work was telling me that their kids create PowerPoints of the gifts they want. In the 60’s our hand written lists were of toys and clothes we craved from the Sears Roebuck Christmas catalog. Memories.

A pretty nice Christmas tree at the gym this morning. A real tree. Makes me think I should put up a real tree this year. It has been many years since having one.

One of my oak hammocks this morning. In this early light the Spanish Moss hanging from the live oaks shines like icicles. Winter in Florida.

Hurricanes Helene and Milton transformed the prairie into a wetland. Figuring it would be inundated through the spring I took some scrap cypress and built a wood duck nest box. Hopefully it will see some action in a couple of months.

Deer moss, Fiona sunquist in my secret spot on the property. This little honey hole has dense mats of the lichen under the open canopy of sand live oak. This is an awesome spot when the sun hits it right.

2:30 am today, a bit early :(. Gym opens at 4. Need to be at office at 6 so as to clock in a full day by 2. Why 2 you ask? Well I have a 6+ hour trip back to Florida and I can’t get back there soon enough. #RTO

Worst think about business travel is the sleep. Wake up at 2. Can’t fall asleep for anything. End up going to the gym and finishing way before breakfast. Now your hungry, tired, and it ain’t even 7.
Oh. And there is a full day of work left.
