Recovering Engineer. Failed at retirement, returned to the workplace.

Motorbike travel on occasion, less than I'd like.

South West UK.
I just don't understand why he isn't held accountable by much of the electorate

Either:
-didn't have the country's best interests at heart, OR
-he was a very bad decision maker.

So either malicious or foolish. In either case surely not someone who should be anywhere near the levers of power?

And his?

It's hard to think that much of the last ten years really happened.

I'm sure I'm going to wake up soon and realise it was just a vivid (bad) dream.

Heh, I remember thinking what the fuck are Argentina doing claiming a Scottish island?

350 fucking quid!

He'll be selling bibles next.

Not really surprising, I suspect the picture of farage would put many off their food.

SNP only had 6 seats, DUP had 8.

I think the only choice open to the libdems was another election or a Tory coalition.
November 26, 2025 at 9:57 AM
The Lib Dems plus Labour would not have held a majority in 2010, the combined number ,315, would have fallen short of the 326 needed for a majority.

Just imagine if we'd spent the last decade strengthening the EU's defence forces.

A useful resource if you're ever uncertain; ask yourself 'what would Liz do?', simply then do the opposite and you'll be ok.

One of two things, it could be baby sick or a milk based pudding.

I suspect the latter. I suppose it could be the former though.

Very prescient lyrics.

And this is what Musk wants to replace Wikipedia with (effectively)...

Used to commute an hour each way to work.

Bar muffs on the bike from October to March.

Allowed me to use summer gloves and keep my hands warm and dry. Also used on the elefantentreffen trips . Definitely recommend them.

And at the same time...

Possibly 30% of our population may be thinking it's a good idea to elect a party founded by a person who spent his life trying to get us out of the EU.

I guess the problem is assuming everyone is equally interested in politics, see their use of the term DOGE as well.
October 28, 2025 at 11:37 AM
Why?

Because they're bought and paid for by the backers of the republican/maga movement in the US.

Everything that happened there will slowly happen here if Reform gets their way.

Enjoy. The concept is great!

Clearly he is an expert in the subject with extensive experience. We should read his view and hopefully do the opposite.
October 25, 2025 at 6:42 AM
I'll believe it when I see it, by campaigning for any sort of a return he is seen to turn his back on his 'passion'.

In my opinion, his angle is more likely to be that we did the wrong Brexit deal and if he had his way back in 2019-20 we'd be in those sunlit uplands now; so vote for me...
October 20, 2025 at 8:54 AM
Never.

His backers want the EU weakened and would not want the UK back in it.
October 20, 2025 at 8:22 AM
Or that you'd call a number and then after the 'pips' stopped (when you were meant to insert money) that there were about 1-2 seconds of 'free' time when the microphones were live.
