Well, we won’t - and Kit Yates eloquently lays out why we absolutely shouldn’t. Science IS political.
Today the Royal Society will meet to discuss “Fellows’ behaviour”. Without doubt the fellow they will primarily be discussing is Elon Musk.
The behaviour may range from his public dissemination of unfounded conspiracy theories to his attacks on the science

Just heard Radio 1 news item on BP's decision to scrap renewables targets, which inserted "scientists say" into statement that fossils fuels cause climate warming.
I don't think BBC is helping public understanding by treating this as a claim that needs qualifying, instead of basic repeatable fact.
