A driver launched metal debris across the sidewalk while destroying this piece of city infrastructure — but sure, tell me again about that one time you saw a bicyclist roll a stop sign. 🙄

I really hope no one was standing there waiting to cross.

People act like getting kids places without a car is Herculean. I biked three (one not mine) to the Kingfield Farmers Market, 95% on bikeways. No car seats, no stress, just laughs. The challenge isn’t moving kids, it’s redesigning cities to work for people instead of cars. #StreetsForPeople

The best way to transport bikes is by bike.

I love when the sidewalk turns into a construction staging area and I get to play “live action Frogger” in traffic.

That was Paisley’s last bike ride. After 8 months of resilience on three legs, cancer spread to her spine. For a decade she filled our lives with love, joy, and silliness. She will be missed.

Bikes are very practical for people with kids — even more so if your city has infrastructure to make it safe.

This is exactly why safe bike infrastructure matters — it makes everyday trips like picking up food easy, fun, and stress-free.

Last summer the city installed a temporary chicane on our block and used concrete jersey barriers. The barriers were removed within a week because drivers kept hitting them.

At 11:55:35 last night a driver slowed down and mounted the curb to dive over our KidAlert sign that was on the boulevard.

Technically there’s a bike lane here. Also technically, cars are allowed to drive in it. It’s just an enhanced sharrow — which is a fancy way of saying “good luck, kid.” We’re one block from an elementary school and everyone is biking on the sidewalk instead.
