I've been working on tuplet detection and rendering in Scribe (my HTML/CSS music notation lib). It's not an easy problem to nail, but I'm starting to be happy with the results.

Scribe is nearly capable of rendering a decent lead sheet. You can see some early examples here: the-dots.app

I was lucky enough to return to Geldingadalur one year later, the crater was long dead but the vegetation was still slowly burning.

Safari is really bad at updating styles calc()'d from var()s in a shadow DOM, leading to the sort of bugs seen in this image (description in alt text), which is not seen in other browsers.

You can play with that problem live on this page:

Small milestone today as I got automation scheduling hooked up to WebAudio AudioParams via a signals graph – mumbo jumbo that means my faders and other controls follow what the audio is being told to do. (The piano is my sampler, no UI yet, but I'm close to sequencing some serious shit). #webdev

I have a (speculative) question for you. I am currently making an object graph sound design environment. It's not ready yet, but looks like this.

Each object UI has its own shadow DOM. I wonder if your harp is open-source, and if you'd be interested in porting it, with help, to work as an object?

Trying to improve my timelapse technique.

Any photographers know why there is some brightness flickering here? #Lumix S5 set to full manual, ISO included. Does extreme cold/wind affect it?

I have the RAWs. Whats the best tool to reprocess them?

Frustratingly I can't get Android to screen record with sound. So this maybe doesn't help! It is working though.

When it gets loud it begins to distort. Perhaps a compressor node set to 20:1 ratio might help?

I think maybe I'll give that a miss, then.

Anyone familiar with Logic Pro might notice some similarities with my fader handle design :/

(I am also writing CEs for audio nodes. This week I've been working on a fourier groove analyser/synth, but I have also been building a graph UI out of CEs, so I'm really interested in what you're doing)

I shot one recently, and am disturbed by the difference HDR export makes to flower colour. You can't see this on @bsky.app because they compress images to SDR.

But if you have an HDR-capable screen/machine, compare the blues with this HDR version: sound.stephen.band/photos/flow-...

Mad difference.

Playing with a little tool I built at the weekend that analyses rhythms by harmonic series, allowing you to morph one rhythm to another, and design groove quantisations, by controlling their harmonics. It's interesting. It may have legs.

Got to be careful with that fine black sand, though. I lay in it for some time shooting this ship; wind blew it into all the buttons on my new camera: they ground themselves down for days.

Keep them coming! I love following your photos. You're tempting me into a winter trip north :)

Every time @sophiecarr.bsky.social‬ posts it puts me back north, this one reminds me of the wind-blown sand formations on Breidavik beach.
