Same. When I made the grids on this page ecal.ch/fr/ the lines between the items were tricky to get right with ::after and ::before and so on. Roll on gap styles.

Incidentally it's my first outing with @deno.land's new Deno Deploy, and I'm quite impressed with the simplicity.
There are also a bunch of example lead sheets – the beginnings of my own responsive fake book! – which I used to test Scribe over the last few weeks at the-dots.app.

I've been working on tuplet detection and rendering in Scribe (my HTML/CSS music notation lib). It's not an easy problem to nail, but I'm starting to be happy with the results.
Scribe is nearly capable of rendering a decent lead sheet. You can see some early examples here: the-dots.app

Thanks to 20+ years of cooperation via standards, most web devs are insulated from the reality that competition (or the threat of it) makes standards possible. It's a shock to recognise that Apple has broken the system so thoroughly that SDOs themselves are at risk:
