It shouldn’t go overlooked that Louisiana Republicans didn’t get their requested expedited decision from the Supreme Court on redistricting. This means the court ordered Congressional map including a second Black-majority district will remain in effect for the midterms.

Reminder that the Trump administration also broke the Epstein Files Transparency Act yesterday… again. Jan. 3 was the deadline for the DOJ to explain to Congress why it made redactions on the documents released. The law requires them to do so.

A 3-FedSoc judge panel on the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that California’s open carry ban in urban areas is unconstitutional. They found that open carry is “part of this nation’s history and tradition” and that CA failed to present evidence of relevant historical firearm regulation.
